There is plenty of action coming up over the next 72 hours in the Planet Ice NIHL National Division, with four double-headers taking place in Gameweek 8.

The round’s action begins on Friday night when Romford Raiders host current league leaders MK Lightning.

Milton Keynes and Romford are also in action later on in the gameweek, as they both face Berkshire Bees. Berkshire travel to Planet Ice Milton Keynes on Saturday, whereas the Raiders get a day’s rest before facing the Bees on Sunday.

Having picked up an impressive 7-0 Yorkshire derby win against Sheffield Steeldogs last weekend, Leeds Knights will hope to return to the summit of the division when they face bottom-of-the-table Telford Tigers home and away.

Hull Seahawks, currently level on points with the Knights, also play the same team twice this weekend. They take on sixth-placed Peterborough Phantoms at home on Saturday, before travelling to Peterborough on Sunday.

Sheffield will be looking to build on a big win against the league leaders last Sunday when they take on Bristol Pitbulls twice across the weekend.

The Steeldogs finished second-bottom and failed to make the play-offs last season but find themselves fourth this time around, after a fine start to the season which has seen them win eight of their opening 14 matches and only lose four in regulation.

The final double-header of Gameweek 8 sees Solway Sharks take on Swindon Wildcats.

Swindon are aiming to keep pace near the top, with a number of games still in hand on the teams around them.
