A weekend packed with entertainment is most certainly in store as we gear up for Gameweek 10 in the Planet Ice NIHL National Division.

League leaders Leeds Knights will be looking to build on their current five-game winning streak with a couple of fixtures this weekend.

They begin the round at home to Berkshire Bees on Saturday before travelling south on Sunday to face Peterborough Phantoms.

Second-placed MK Lightning kick off the weekend’s action on Friday when they host Sheffield Steeldogs, who themselves are aiming to bounce back after successive defeats last weekend.

Milton Keynes visit Telford Tigers on Sunday to close out the round, while on the same day, Sheffield host the side currently in third, Romford Raiders.

Telford’s double over Berkshire Bees last weekend saw them rise to eighth in the table. As well as a tough home game against MK Lightning, they’ll have to contend with a strong Raiders side in Romford on Saturday.

Swindon Wildcats come into the latest gameweek with as many as three games in hand on sides above them. The Wildcats, who have played a league-low 15 games so far this season, are in action three times this weekend.

They travel to Bristol Pitbulls on Friday night, before returning home on Saturday as Peterborough visit the Link Centre. They then hit the road again on Sunday for a game against bottom club Berkshire.

Meanwhile, the Pitbulls are on their travels on Saturday following their Friday home game, heading to Dumfries to face Solway Sharks.

The Sharks are in action on Sunday too, as they travel to Hull for a meeting with the Seahawks, in what is the home side’s only game of the weekend.
