Trauma qualification for ice hockey medics

At the start of July, we are pleased to be running a pitch side trauma qualification specifically for ice hockey medics.

The PHICIS Level 2 pitch side qualification, endorsed by the Royal College of Surgeons, will take place at Tamworth’s SnowDome on Saturday 5 July.

This course is suitable for medics/therapists with previous knowledge and experience of medical practices. 

PLEASE NOTE: This course is not for coaches/managers.

Course material will be delivered by a series of medical experts, including:

  • Chris Wilcox – Associate dean student experience, faculty of health services at the University of Hull
  • Bob Bramah – Lecturer on sports rehabilitation at the University of Salford
  • Jonty Ashton – Lecturer on sports rehabilitation at the University of Hull
  • Ali Emery – Senior lecturer on sports rehabilitation at St Mary’s University, Twickenham, and England Ice Hockey medical lead
