How do I register if I was registered with a club in the 2024/25 season and want to move to a new club?
Register through the club you were previously registered with and then transfer to your new club. If you’re struggling to get the registration link from your old club, the office can supply it. Contact us if you encounter any issues with the transfer process.
Do I need to redo safeguarding training if I completed it last year?
Yes. Training is being standardised across the sport and must be completed annually.If you have an equivalent safeguarding qualification, notify the office. Otherwise, you’ll need to complete the Safeguarding course.

I’m an assistant manager. How do I become a team manager?
Register as a manager this year and complete all requirements by 30th November 2025, including attending the course. If you meet all criteria, you’ll be considered a team manager. If not, your role will revert to assistant manager.
Are there requirements for coaches?
Yes, simplified requirements are being finalised. Stay tuned for announcements.
What is the discount code for dual registration?
Use DUAL25-EIH2526 to receive a 25% discount on the second product (eg, player coaches). Both roles should be applied for at the same time. Misuse of the code will result in invoicing the difference and possible cancellation of membership without refund.
My registration form doesn’t allow me to select a product. What should I do?
Ensure your club has provided the correct 2025–2026 form. If not, request it from them. If you have the correct form and still face issues, contact gameday@englandicehockey.com for guidance.
I’m a member of the Para section. Should I register now?
No. Para’s current season is still active. Registration will open once the season concludes.
I coach both a Para team and a junior team. How do I register?
Register for your junior team now. Register for the Para team once its registration opens.
Do I need to find my own courses to meet requirements?
No. All courses will be provided nationally. Safeguarding is available now. Others will be announced soon. Complete all training by 30th November 2025.
Do stewards need to be registered or have a DBS check?
No. Stewards are defined by rink operators and are not in regulated activity. Registration or DBS checks are not required.
Should I upload my DBS certificate to Gameday?
No. We cannot store DBS certificates. Your DSL will view and verify it, then update us to complete your registration.
I’m a coach and also play Rec. How do I use the 25% discount?
Register with your primary club on Gameday and use the promo code 2526-DUALREC to receive the discount. Please register with Rec within 28 days of the Rec registration window opening.
Does my passport need to be in date for registration?
No, but ensure the copy is clear.
What do trial players for NIHL and WNIHL clubs need to provide?
Trial players should register on Gameday and select the appropriate product. If born overseas or previously played abroad, notify IHUK until further policy updates.
I coach a junior team and also a WNIHL team. How do I register?
The process is being finalised and will be announced shortly.
My NIHL club is using bulk registration. Will a player who is also a coach get the dual registration discount?
Yes. The discount will be applied when calculating the invoice.
I think I need an ITC for a player, what shall I do?
The process for this season is being confirmed, and this will be announced as soon as it is available
My team has summer training sessions. Does EIH insurance cover me?
Make sure your registration has been submitted, and you will be covered. It does not need to be approved.
I am a coach/team manager for teams in both Juniors and the WNIHL last season. How do I register this year?
Begin by registering with your primary club/team Once that’s submitted, simply complete this form to let us know about your additional coaching roles. We’ll update your record within 3 working days, allowing you to complete registration for your secondary club/team.
I coached for my club’s junior team last year, but this year I am coaching for my club’s WNIHL team as well. How do I register?

I have a junior player who has aged out of my junior team. How do I register them for my senior team?
If a junior player has aged out and is joining your senior team, please complete this form. We’ll enable their senior club registration within 3 working days.
I am a coach. How can I take advantage of the 25% discount on my Rec registration?

I am signing for a new team this year; however, my old team is not icing this year. What do I do?
If you’re signing with a new team because your previous team isn’t icing, email gameday@englandicehockey.com with details of both clubs. We’ll guide you through the next steps.
Promo Code Used Incorrectly?
If a player has used a promo code incorrectly, email gameday@englandicehockey.com with the player’s details and a contact email. For junior players, please provide the parent’s email. We’ll send an invoice for the difference.
