Update to International Transfer (ITC) Policy

In collaboration with Ice Hockey UK, we’ve updated the ITC Policy, Process and FAQs to make routes and eligibility crystal clear.

Thank you for your feedback – transparency and clarity matter, even when it means mid-cycle tweaks.

Key points

  • Approval vs eligibility: Day-8 IIHF auto-approval is a system event; players can only play once IHUK issues the “Eligibility Effective Date/Time.”
  • Routes by age: Seniors via the IHUK portal (unchanged). Juniors via email to IHUKAdmin@icehockeyuk.co.uk using the junior ITC and (if needed) Unlimited transfer forms.
  • Junior unlimited (same primary club): No re-application and no annual renewal fee (exceptions: citizenship change, or turning 18 before season start).
  • Training vs playing (juniors): May train while awaiting clearance and registration approval, but cannot play any sanctioned competition until registered and the Eligibility Effective Date/Time is issued.
