Following last weekend’s action, the England Ice Hockey Department of Player Safety (DOPS) have issued the following sanctions:
- Robyn Mapp (Invicta Dynamics) | 2 game suspension – Fighting
- Additional comments: Player used face mask to drag their opponent to the ice. There were subsequent blows to the back whilst the opponent was in a vulnerable position.
- Corey Goodison (Solihull Barons) | 1 game suspension – Dangerous actions
- Additional comments: Played grabbed opponent and pushed them to the ice.
- Benjamin Greenhalgh (Billingham Stars) | 3 game suspension following DRS review – Slashing
- Additional comments: A two-handed stick swing resulting in contact to the shoulder and/or neck area, recklessly endangering the opponent. It was a post-whistle incident and the opponent was not part of the play. Two games of the suspension to be served, with one further game suspended pending no further instances of a 5+game for slashing until the end of the 2025/26 season.
