Following last weekend’s action, the England Ice Hockey Department of Player Safety (DOPS) have issued the following sanctions:
- Billie Coe (Romford Buccaneers) | 1 game suspension – Exceeding 10 penalty points
- Harrison Lillis (Invicta Dynamos) | 2 game suspension – 1 game for physical abuse of officials and 1 game for exceeding 10 penalty points
- Erin Russell (MK Falcons) | 1 game suspension – Fighting
- Additional comments: Sucker punch delivered to an unaware opponent.
- Caden Hughes (Bristol Pitbulls 2) | 1 game suspension – Fighting
- Aston Lacey (Solent Junior Devils) 6 game suspension – 3 games for fighting and 3 games for exceeding 20 penalty points
- Additional comments: Fighting an unwilling and downed opponent. Player landed multiple punches.
- Luke Rose (Lee Valley Lions) | 7 game suspension – Boarding
- Additional comments: Penalty assess after DRS review. Player delivers late, unnecessary, avoidable contact from behind. The opponent is vulnerable, can’t protect himself, and is sent into the boards. A predictable, high-risk outcome. Player to serve a four game suspension, with a further three games suspended until the end of 2026 pending no further serious incidents involving them before the end of the year.
- Kian Lloyd (Chelmsford Warriors) | 5 game suspension – 3 games for checking from behind and 2 games for exceeding 15 penalty points
- Additional comments: Penalty assess after DRS review. Player hit through the numbers, with no attempt to play the puck. Action was committed in a danger area near the boards, causing reckless endangerment.
- Lennon Weeks (Sheffield Scimitars) | 6 game suspension – Boarding
- Additional comments: Penalty assess after DRS review. Player delivers a check that sends the opponent heavily into the boards, recklessly endangering them and resulting in an injury, supported by an Injury Report Form. Player to serve a three game suspension with a further three games suspended until the end of 2026. The suspended part of the penalty will be activated should there be any repeat of this offence.
