England Ice Hockey (EIH) can confirm that Alan Moutrey has decided to step down from the board of directors.
Alan joined the board in July 2023 and has been responsible for the oversight of the coaching programme, amongst other key aspects of the organisation.
Alan Moutrey commented: “I’ve been involved in ice hockey for a long time, and I just feel that now is the right time to step back from my responsibilities on the EIH board.
“The sport is in safest hands in a long-time, with a much-needed merger in the pipeline and clear plan for the future, so I am very confident in what’s to come.
“I am still, of course, heavily involved with my club (Billingham), and will support the next phase of the sport’s evolution wherever I can.”
Duncan Hough, EIH chair, said of the news: “Alan has played a major part of bringing the sport to where it is today – on the cusp of transformation into a structure that will push the game forward once again.
“Alan has been a great sounding board with his knowledge and experience of the sport. I wish Alan well, and hope we work together again in the future.”
Everyone at England Ice Hockey thanks Alan for his time and service.
