Following last weekend’s action, the England Ice Hockey Department of Player Safety (DOPS) have issued the following sanctions:
Harrison Lillis (Invicta Dynamos) | 2 game suspension – Fighting
Aaron Connolly (Invicta Dynamos) | 1 game suspension – Fighting (third man in)
Michael Stokes (Invicta Dynamos) | 3 game suspension – Fighting
Bradley Windeback (Invicta Dynamos) | 2 game suspension – Fighting
Andy Smith (Invicta Dynamos) | 2 game suspension – Fighting
Luke Smital (Slough Jets) | 12 game suspension- 6 game suspension for Illegal check to the head, 3 game suspension for fighting. 1 game suspension for exceeding 10 penalty points and 2 game suspension for exceeding 15 penalty points.
Additional comments: Action was delivered at speed, in a stoppage of play. The first point of contact was the head/neck area, causing reckless endangerment of the opponent.
Sebastian Mohr (Slough Jets) | 2 game suspension – Fighting
Matthew Smital (Slough Jets) | 3 game suspension – 2 game suspension for fighting and 1 game suspension for exceeding 10 penalty points.
Marcus Mitchell (Slough Jets) | 3 game suspension – 2 game suspension for fighting and 1 game suspension for exceeding 10 penalty points.
Lewis English (Slough Jets) | 2 game suspension – Fighting
Jude Affleck (Slough Jets) | 5 game suspension – 3 game suspension for fighting and 2 game suspension for exceeding 15 penalty points.
Rhys Edwards (Deeside Dragons) | Deeside Dragons) | 2 game suspension – Illegal check to the head
Additional comments: The check was delivered with the forearm, and the opponent was unaware of the hit, recklessly endangering them.
