Following last weekend’s action, the England Ice Hockey Department of Player Safety (DOPS) have issued the following sanctions:
- Bayley Harwood (Bristol Pitbulls) | Indefinite suspension – Unsportsmanlike conduct
- Additional comments: Game misconduct for abuse of officials. Player is suspended until the investigation is complete.
- Ralfs Circenis (Berkshire Bees) | 4 game suspension after DOPS/GRP review – Cross-checking & fighting
- Additional comments: An altercation occurred after a boarding in the Romford Defending zone, where the Berkshire player was struck from behind, dislodging his helmet, and he retaliated with a cross-check. The recipient of the cross-check fell and the Berkshire player proceeded to cross-check his opponent again. At this time, he was then repeatedly punched by a Romford player (see suspension below), including when he was on the ice and defenceless. He wrestled the Romford player to the ice when the the linesmen intervened, both players being on the ice with the Berkshire player throwing punches to his Romford opponent, who was under him. Both players continued to fight on the ice, despite having linesmen involved and being instructed to stop.

Total: 5 game suspension for Ralfs Circenis
