Following last weekend’s action, the England Ice Hockey Department of Player Safety (DOPS) have issued the following sanctions:

• Joseff Brickell (Bristol Pitbulls NIHL 2) | 2 game suspension – Fighting
  • Additional comments: Player was fighting a downed and unwilling opponent, continuing to punch.
• Ben Fox (Bradford Bulldogs) | 1 game suspension – Slashing
  • Additional comments: A deliberate and aggressive slash to the back of an opponent’s legs, recklessly endangering them.
• William Harper (Deeside Dragons) | 2 game suspension – Misconduct penalty

Suspensions carried over from previous season

England Ice Hockey has clarified that suspensions carried over from the previous season are not served in pre-season challenge games.

This approach ensures consistency across all NIHL divisions.

As part of this process, we can also confirm that any player who has completed a suspension and met the required conditions is eligible to return to play.
