The EIHA are pleased to announce the appointment of Michelle Leigh as the new general manager of the junior section.

Michelle has been the northern secretary for the Junior Management Committee for the past two years and also has previous experience as a player and manager in the Northern Conference for many years.

Ahead of the 2021/22 season, she was appointed as one of two events leads, who are responsible for the planning and delivery of the NIHL Finals at the end of the season.

Michelle also helps out within the Manchester Storm across various levels of the club, from juniors through to EIHL.

On the appointment, the director in charge of the junior section, Martin Peters, said: “We are delighted to have Michelle on board to help the EIHA provide more support for clubs, whom we are keen to work closely with to help develop grassroots hockey.

“Her experience both on and off the ice will be pivotal in helping us drive junior hockey forward.”
