Scottish Ice Hockey’s Under 19s will travel to iceSheffield to defend the coveted Frank Dempster Trophy against England at our 2025 Draft Showcase event.
There will be two games taking place over the Draft Showcase weekend, on Friday 2 May (7:30pm) and Saturday 3 May (11am). We will be streaming both games for supporters who are unable to attend.
Ben Pitchley, GM of the Elite Player Pathway, said: “Last year, was a welcomed return of the England vs Scotland Under 19s game at iceSheffield, and we are delighted to start our 2025 Showcase weekend with another challenging series of games where England will be looking to win back the Frank Dempsey Trophy.
“Over the past 12 months, Scotland have kindly borrowed the trophy. However, we are looking forward to bringing it home!
“Paul Glossop, England Under 19s head coach, has pulled together an energetic and skillful team who are looking forward to the challenge of winning the trophy back from across the border.”
Scottish Ice Hockey and IHUK director Jamie Thomson said: “Bringing these games back over the last few years has been a massive success.
“The standard of hockey is excellent and it gives the players a chance to pull on the national jersey, which is always a privilege, I’d like to thank Martin Peters and his team for hosting this year, and I’m looking forward to repaying the favour next season. The coaches have pulled together a very talented team, and I’m really looking forward to the game and wish the players good luck.”
Tickets are available on the door, priced at £2 per game. Showcase players and volunteers can gain free admission with their event invitation letter
