We are excited to welcome Faye Andrews onto the England Ice Hockey board of directors.
Faye has been playing ice hockey for 30 years – starting her journey in junior hockey and working her way up to the elite game.
She has also been an on-ice official since 2011, gaining her IIHF officials licence in 2017. Since then, Faye has officiated at numerous Olympic qualification and World Championship tournaments.
Faye previously spent time on the EIHA board as a director in 2021. She has also acted as general manager of the Women’s National Ice Hockey League (WNIHL) for the last three years.
In addition to her existing roles, Faye joined the Ice Hockey UK (IHUK) board as a non-executive director earlier this year.
Faye is a safeguarding champion and has a place on the GB Programme Committee, and we are confident that her experience across all levels of the sport will be invaluable as we look to take the next steps towards increasing participation across the board.
Discussing the appointment, England Ice Hockey vice-chair Duncan Hough said: “Faye brings to the board an abundance of experience and enthusiasm on how to take the game forward.
“She has done a tremendous job growing the women’s leagues for many years, and we look forward to working alongside her in the months and years to come to develop all areas of the sport, and especially the women’s game.”
