Bruce Douglas was a professional rugby union player for 16 years, and represented clubs across Europe including Edinburgh, Harlequins, Montpellier and the Scarlets, earning 43 Scotland Caps along the way. Following retirement as a player Bruce coached part-time for two years and has since set up Confidas People, a specialist consultancy providing due diligence services to support private equity and venture capital investment.
