Following yesterday’s fixture list release, the National Ice Hockey League (NIHL) are pleased to confirm the season’s major dates for all four regional divisions.
- First weekend of league season: September 6/7 2025
- Last weekend of league season: March 21/22 2026
- League Cup semi-finals: January 17/18 2026
- League Cup finals – February 21/22 2026
- Playoff quarter-finals – March 28/29 2026 (two legs, home and away)
- Playoff semi-finals – April 4/5 2026 (two legs, home & away)
2025/26 playoffs
We are pleased to announce that next season’s playoff finals will take place at a central venue, with regional finals on Saturday 11 April, 2026.
Respective winners will contest the national playoff finals on Sunday April 12 2026.
After consultation with the clubs at their respective meetings, we are pleased to announce the return of the Steel City Showdown. Our playoffs will be at Bauer Arena, iceSheffield for a second successive year.
More information will be made available in due course, but we ask fans to save the date and look forward to another wonderful showpiece for our NIHL regional divisions.
