The stage is set for the Planet Ice NIHL National Division Final Four.
The teams competing in the end-of-season showpiece event in Coventry have been confirmed, with Leeds Knights, Peterborough Phantoms, Telford Tigers and Swindon Wildcats advancing from the play-off group stages.
In Group A, regular season champions Leeds defeated Bees IHC home and away over the weekend to finish the group stages with five wins from six.
Joining them in the Final Four are the Phantoms, who edged past Hull Seahawks to qualify.
A hard-fought meeting in Hull on Saturday went the way of the visitors, who required overtime to secure a topsy-turvy 6-5 victory and mathematically confirm their place in Coventry.
The two teams met again the following day and the Seahawks made sure their 2023/24 campaign ended on a positive note, running out 7-4 winners at Planet Ice Peterborough.
In Group B, all four teams won their final home game to ensure the battle for play-off Finals Weekend hockey went down to the wire.
It would be the Wildcats who were first to secure their Final Four spot on Saturday, courtesy of a 6-1 victory against Telford at the Link Centre, coupled with MK Lightning’s 7-3 win over Raiders IHC.
The Tigers responded well the following day with a 9-3 win on home ice, meaning it would be they who qualified for the Coventry season finale as the lowest-ranked side.
