The action continues to heat up in the Planet Ice NIHL National Division, as Gameweek 14 provided plenty of excitement on the ice.
Leeds Knights managed back-to-back wins against NIHL Cup finalists Romford Raiders to secure a second straight four-point weekend.
They were unable to leapfrog MK Lightning, despite the league leaders being unable to pick up maximum points in their double-header against Telford Tigers.
Telford picked up the win at home on Sunday, after Milton Keynes came out on top on Saturday. But despite dropping points, Lightning retained their grip on top spot in the standings, courtesy of their superior head-to-head record against the Knights.
Meanwhile, Swindon Wildcats remain in third after they secured two wins over the weekend.
First, they overcame Hull Seahawks 5-2 at the Link Centre on Saturday, before picking up an away win at Peterborough Phantoms the following day.
Peterborough didn’t go winless in Gameweek 14, however, as they were able to pick up a 6-3 win away at Sheffield Steeldogs on Friday night, in the opening game of the round.
The Steeldogs managed to make up for their home defeat on Friday by triumphing 4-2 away at Bristol Pitbulls on Saturday.
The Pitbulls were unable to pick up any points this weekend, as they fell to a 4-0 defeat on Sunday against the Seahawks.
And Solway Sharks were able to win both games in their home double-header against Berkshire Bees, strengthening their grasp of eighth spot in the standings.
