Leeds Knights remain top of the Planet Ice NIHL National Division after Gameweek 10, despite dropping points this weekend.

The Knights opened their weekend with a routine home win on Saturday over Berkshire Bees, then fell to a 6-4 defeat at Peterborough Phantoms on Sunday.

MK Lightning were unable to capitalise on the dropped points, however, as they also won one and lost one of their Gameweek 10 fixtures.

They began on Friday with a 5-2 home win over Sheffield Steeldogs but were beaten in an overtime battle against Telford Tigers on Sunday.

Telford were able to record their second straight four-point weekend after their double over Berkshire Bees in Gameweek 9.

Alongside their home win against the side currently in second, the Tigers’ recent resurgence continued as they pulled off a big win over the side who started the weekend in third, Romford Raiders, on Saturday.

Solway Sharks were the only other side to pick up maximum points this weekend, as they toppled Bristol Pitbulls in overtime on Saturday, before travelling to East Yorkshire on Sunday for a meeting with Hull Seahawks and running out 6-5 winners.

Swindon Wildcats also enjoyed a positive weekend but were unable to make it a perfect six points from six during their triple-header.

They opened up the weekend’s action with a 6-4 win away at Bristol, before demolishing Peterborough on Saturday, winning 9-2 at home. However, they couldn’t make it a hat-trick of wins during Sunday’s trip to Berkshire but did still pick up a point after falling to a shootout defeat at the Slough Ice Arena.
