There is a new leader in the Planet Ice NIHL National Division, as MK Lightning overtook Leeds Knights in Gameweek 6.

Milton Keynes enjoyed another perfect four-point weekend which started by defeating Bristol Pitbulls at home on Friday night.

On Sunday, they edged a tight shootout win over former table-toppers Leeds, moving a point clear at the division’s summit with a game in hand on their nearest challenger.

The Knights remain in second, however, after they were victorious at Romford Raiders on Saturday.

The Raiders suffered defeat in both of their games this weekend, losing out on the road to Peterborough the following day.

Unfortunately, the Phantoms were unable to make it two wins for the weekend as they suffered a shock defeat against Solway Sharks on Saturday.

Sheffield Steeldogs climbed into the top four, despite winning just one of their three games over the weekend. They defeated Solway on Sunday, following back-to-back defeats against Telford Tigers and Hull Seahawks.

In fact, Telford rose off the foot of the table by winning two of their three weekend fixtures.

As well as the overtime win over Sheffield on Friday, they pulled off a big 7-5 victory over third-placed Hull on Sunday.

Finally, Berkshire Bees and Bristol Pitbulls split the wins in their Gameweek 6 double-header. Berkshire were victorious on Saturday in Bristol, with the Pitbulls taking revenge in Slough a day later.
