The Planet Ice NIHL National Division sits at the top of the National Ice Hockey League structure, featuring eleven teams from across the country.
For 2023/24 season Solway Sharks have joined the existing members to compete for League, Cup and Playoff honours.
Basingstoke Bison have unfortunately had to step back from the league for the 2023/24 season due to work required on their rink.

On April 29, 2022 the NIHL and Planet Ice announced a three year sponsorship for the competition.
Planet Ice is Europe’s number one for ice leisure with 14 rinks across the UK and many more planned for the future.
