Streatham Junior Ice Hockey Club are sad to announce that their NIHL2 team, the Streatham Blackhawks, will not ice this season.

It is planned that this will be a temporary absence this season, but due to a late reduction in numbers and limited ice time available at their disposal, it is felt by the club’s committee that the available ice will be better utilised serving the needs of their existing junior members.

A Blackhawks statement read: “We would like to thank all of the team’s players and helpers for their efforts and dedication over the past seasons, and wish them all the very best for the future seasons wherever they may be.”

The league will communicate any changes to NIHL South 2 competitions as soon as possible following discussions with the remaining clubs.
