England Ice Hockey would like to extend its sincere thanks and appreciation to Haydn Hunter, who will be stepping down from his role as general manager of the National Ice Hockey League (NIHL) effective June 30.
Haydn has devoted an extraordinary amount of time and energy to this role, helping to steer the NIHL through a period of significant growth and change.
His leadership has been instrumental in strengthening league operations, enhancing communication with clubs and delivering a more consistent and competitive structure across all levels of the NIHL.
Notable contributions during Haydn’s tenure include the expansion and streamlining of league formats, the delivery of national playoff events, and the introduction of a more collaborative approach between league management and our club network.
His professionalism and tireless behind-the-scenes efforts have left a lasting impact on the league and on our sport more broadly.
We are incredibly grateful to Haydn for everything he has contributed to the NIHL and to England Ice Hockey. We wish him the very best in his next chapter, and know he will continue to make a positive impact on the game.
Plans for a successor will be communicated in due course, and we thank our clubs, volunteers and members for their continued support during this transition.
