We’d like to say a big well done to January’s England Ice Hockey Volunteer of the Month winner: Adam Mackman.
For a number of years, Adam has been the driving force behind Ice Maidens, an independent media outlet covering all levels of the women’s game in the UK.
Known to many as being the voice of the WNIHL, Adam’s passion for the sport has seen him engage with thousands of women’s hockey supporters across several years.
He has also been an integral part of our WNIHL Finals coverage, providing commentary on live streams and getting pre/post-match interviews with players and coaches.
Adam’s efforts over many seasons has helped gain several new eyes on the women’s game in a way few others have managed.
Women’s hockey in the UK continues to thrive, and thanks to the enthusiasm and dedication of people like Adam, the platform has been laid for comprehensive coverage of the WNIHL for many years to come.
