Huge congratulations to Blackburn Hawks’ merchandise stand leader Debbi Yehia-Moustafa, who has been chosen as our latest England Ice Hockey Volunteer of the Month!
Debbi has been volunteering with the Hawks for a number of years, supporting the club’s off-ice fundraising efforts.
She has been commended by nominees for always going above and beyond to help the club on a match night, arriving long before games start to ensure everything is up and running in advance of supporters heading to the arena.
Happy, helpful and attentive, Debbi devotes lots of time to the club and is a smiling face at the door for many fans as they arrive for Hawks games.
It is through the sheer hard work of volunteers like Debbi that the club’s off-ice endeavours continue to go from strength to strength. As one nominee so beautifully says of Debbi: “She is an absolute legend who doesn’t get the recognition she deserves” – until now!
Know a volunteer at your club who always goes above and beyond?
Now’s the chance to give them the praise they have always deserved, thanks to our Volunteer of the Month initiative.
All clubs are invited to nominate the unsung heroes of our ice hockey community, who will be celebrated for their dedication and invaluable contributions to the sport.
