This season has seen the introduction of a number of special awards for the five NIHL divisions.

These awards are:

• Young Player of the Year
• Coach of the Year
• Player of the Year

These awards are voted on by the clubs in the individual leagues: their head coach, assistant coach and captain, all of whom have their say on who has stood out during the 2024/25 season.

The awards, and selection of TRUE Hockey merchandise, has been kindly sponsored by The Ice Barn for the next few seasons.

NIHL general manager Haydn Hunter said: “Having spoken with Nick at The Ice barn, he was more than happy to jump on board and help.

“With the current store going through an expansion, it seemed only logical to expand it to the National League end-of-season awards!

“A big thank you to Nick and The Ice Barn, from everyone at England Ice Hockey.”

The winners of the 2024/25 The Ice Barn NIHL Awards, powered by TRUE, for the regional NIHL divisions can be found below:

NIHL 1 North (Moralee)

Player of the Year: Niklas Ottosson (Solihull Barons)
Coach of Year: Stephen Foster (Billingham Stars)
Young Player of Year: Alex Rushby (Nottingham Lions)

NIHL 1 South (Britton)

Player of the Year: Cam Bartlett (Chelmsford Chieftains)
Coach of the Year: Ken Forshee (Swindon Wildcats NIHL 2)
Young Player of the Year: Seb Mohr (Slough Jets)

NIHL 2 North (Laidler):

Player of the Year: Taylor Stanton (Telford Tigers NIHL 2)
Coach of the Year: Gary Shaw (Deeside Ducks)
Young Player of the Year: Taylor Stanton (Telford Tigers NIHL 2)

NIHL 2 South (Wilkinson)

Player of the Year: Nathan Pollard (Peterborough Phantoms NIHL 2))
Coach of the Year: Nathan Pollard (Peterborough Phantoms NIHL 2)
Young Player of the Year: Ben Beldecos (Haringey Huskies)

Awards for the National Division will be announced on Saturday at the NIHL Final Four event in Coventry.
