The England National Team Programme (ENTP) are delighted to confirm details of a Winter Classic Mites & Mighty Mites training day at iceSheffield on 30 December 2023.
Mighty Mites, since being introduced several years ago, has always been a huge success with showing our young new players what it is like to experience an ENTP training day and games at iceSheffield, for those under eight years of age.
Last season we introduced the Mites, and this was a roaring success.
We have decided to have a Winter Classic and create two events which will be on a first come, first served basis.
- Mites – Players born 2013 & 2014 | 36 players & 8 Netminders | Must have minimum two years playing experience
- Mighty Mites – Players born 2015 & 2016 | 36 players & 8 Netminders | Must have minimum 18 months playing experience
PLEASE NOTE: All players must be competent at skating.
We are finalising the price (approximately £110-120), which we are aiming to include a specially-designed winter classic shirt, meals, snacks and games, as well as training with current England national team coaches who will be looking for future stars for our national programmes.
These events will be opened via Team App at 6pm on Tuesday 5 December, and places will be confirmed prior to payment being made.

- When: Saturday 30 December
- Who: EIHA-registered players born in 2013, 2014, 2015 & 2016
- What: Full day development and exhibition games
- Time: Event booking opens at 6pm on Tuesday 5 December
- Cost: TBC per player but will include a specially-designed “Winter Classic” game shirt, a t-shirt, meals, drinks and snacks
- Capacity: 36 skaters & 8 netminders per age group
Payment to be made once confirmation of place is announced. Payment to be done by purchasing a ticket on the events page, but must be made within 48 hours, or place can be removed.Schedules to be confirmed, however expect a full day of activities from on-ice training with ENTP and guest coaches to off-ice training (classroom session) as well as being fuelled up with food/snacks prior to participating during the main event.Places on this day are strictly limited and preference will be given to those players who register their interest using TeamApp. Once the roster is confirmed, please ensure you purchase a ticket for the event within 48 hours, so we can order the game shirts/t-shirts.
