MK Lightning lead the way at Christmas in the Planet Ice NIHL National Division, after what was an action-packed Gameweek 15.
Milton Keynes withstood the tough test of back-to-back games against the third-placed Swindon Wildcats.
Despite suffering an overtime defeat at home on Saturday, the league leaders won a tight 3-2 contest in Swindon on Sunday, ensuring they finished the weekend with three points from a possible four.
Leeds Knights remain just one point behind after victory in their only league game of the weekend away at Yorkshire rivals Hull Seahawks.
The Seahawks suffered two defeats over the course of the weekend, also falling to a 3-2 loss at Solway Sharks on Saturday.
Solway were unable to make it a perfect four-point weekend, however, as they were beaten by Telford Tigers on Sunday.
The Tigers’ other game of the weekend ended in defeat, as Sheffield Steeldogs scored double digits in a great offensive performance on Saturday night.
The double-header between Bristol Pitbulls and Romford Raiders ended in home wins for both teams.
And Berkshire Bees picked up a much-needed win at home to Peterborough Phantoms, after a run of seven straight defeats.
