A bumper weekend beckons in the Planet Ice NIHL National Division, with 11 games on the way during Gameweek 24.
Having tasted NIHL Cup success last weekend, Leeds Knights returned to league action on Tuesday night with a commanding 6-0 victory at Sheffield Steeldogs.
The Knights, now just two points behind league leaders MK Lightning, kick off the weekend’s action at home to Sheffield, before travelling to Cambridgeshire on Saturday to face a Peterborough Phantoms side who were also on the right end of a convincing midweek victory at home to Telford Tigers.
League leaders Milton Keynes will hope to pick up their second four-point weekend of the month when they face second-bottom Bristol Pitbulls home and away this weekend.
Further back in third, Swindon Wildcats take on Romford Raiders then Telford – two sides with their eyes firmly fixed on a place in the top eight.
The Tigers currently have a grasp on the final playoff berth, but that could come under real pressure when they travel to Dumfries to take on Solway Sharks on Saturday night.
The Sharks will be back on their travels the following night, visiting a Sheffield side who will hope to be well-rested after a Saturday off.
Elsewhere in the division, Hull Seahawks are in double-header action against bottom side Berkshire Bees, as Matty Davies’ squad go in search of a third perfect weekend in a row.
