Following last weekend’s action, the England Ice Hockey Department of Player Safety (DOPS) have issued the following sanctions:
- Marc Lovell (Deeside Dragons) | 1 game suspension – Spearing
- Brandon Miles (Slough Jets) | 3 game suspension – Fighting
- Additional comments: Fighting an unwilling opponent and punching a downed opponent.
- Thomas Norton (Peterborough Phantoms) | 1 game suspension after DOPS/GRP review – High-sticking
- Additional comments: Player recklessly endangers their opponent by high-sticking. Such assessment of reckless endangerment shall be based on the severity of the infraction, severity of the contact, the degree of violence and the general reprehensibility involved.
- Alfie Druett (Swindon Wildcats NIHL 2) | 10 game suspension (four suspended pending no further instances of this nature before the end of the 2024/25 season) – Abuse of officials
- Liam Bartholomew (Telford Tigers NIHL 2) | Mandatory 1 game suspension – Fighting
- Additional comments: Fighting in the last five minutes of the game.
- Liam Bartholomew (Telford Tigers NIHL 2) | 2 game suspension – Fighting
- Additional comments: Player held opponent’s face cage during an altercation. Fighting involved an unwilling combatant.
Total: 3 game suspension for Liam Bartholomew.
