The Slough Jets win the Britton final by shutting out the Streatham Redhawks
For the final game of the day, the Slough Jets took on the Streatham Redhawks in the Britton Grand Final.
The Jets denied the Redhawks their fourth consecutive league title earlier in the season, leading to a much-awaited rematch.
PERIOD ONE (1-0)
The game started with a few penalties however, it was the Slough Jets who found themselves on the board first with an unassisted goal, scored by Conor Redmond.
While both sets of teams had looks at goals, it remained a one-goal game going into the middle frame.
PERIOD TWO (4-0)
The Jets started the period on the powerplay, and it didn’t take long for them to capitalise through Oli Hemmings-Maher. The initial shot came from Jacob Minter at the blue line and was tipped into the back of the net.
