Following last weekend’s action, the England Ice Hockey Department of Player Safety (DOPS) have issued the following sanctions:

• Oliver Howells (Widnes Wild) | 6 game suspension – Illegal check to the head
  • Additional comments: First point of contact was the head. Opponent was thrown head-first into the boards, recklessly endangering them. Official video footage shows an injury was sustained, and this was also reported in the officials’ match reports.
• Hazel Wilson (Sheffield Shadows) | 5 game suspension – Slashing
  • Additional comments: Two-handed stick swing. The first point of contact was the throat area of the opposing player, recklessly endangering them. Three games of the suspension to be served, with two games suspended.
• Nathan Sutcliffe (Kingston Sharks) | 1 game suspension – Slew-footing
