Following last weekend’s action, the England Ice Hockey Department of Player Safety (DOPS) have issued the following sanctions:
- Matthew Maurice (Telford Tigers 2) | 4 game suspension – Verbal abuse
- Harry Hatfield (Slough Jets) | 2 game suspension – Fighting
- Additional comments: Player was the aggressor, with multiple punches being thrown at an unwilling combatant.
- Joshua Nertney (Billingham Buccaneers) | 1 game suspension – Fighting in the last 5 minutes of the game.
- Simon Geldart (Billingham Buccaneers) | 1 game suspension – Fighting in the last 5 minutes of the game.
- Tyler Poole (Nottingham Lions NIHL 2) | 31 game suspension – 30 games for butt ending and 1 game for exceeding 10 penalty points.
- Butt-ending; From Team Bench & at a stoppage in play, Jabbing motion, First point of contact is Head/Face, Reckless endangerment of opponent
- Sebastian Mohr (Slough Jets) | 1 game suspension – Hitting 10 penalty points
- Owen Davis (Nottingham Lions NIHL 2) | 3 game suspension – 2 games for checking from behind and 1 game for exceeding 10 penalty points
- Additional comments: Checking from behind with speed, causing reckless endangerment.
- Darrell Clarke (Nottingham Lions NIHL 2) | 3 game suspension – 1 game for fighting, 1 game misconduct penalty and 1 game for exceeding 10 penalty points
- Additional comments: For the game misconduct charge, player left the bench to join an altercation.
