Following last weekend’s action, the England Ice Hockey Department of Player Safety (DOPS) have issued the following sanctions:
- Jasper Quinn (Cardiff Fire) | 1 game suspension – Fighting
- Ethan Lane (Streatham Redhawks) | 2 game suspension – 1 game for fighting and 1 game for exceeding 10 penalty points
- Artjoms Kazaks (Romford Buccaneers) | 2 game suspension – Spearing
- Additional comments: Spear to the groin area of the opposing player, with contact made.
- Dylan Dix (Streatham Redhawks) | 5 game suspension – 2 games for checking from behind, 2 games for slashing after DRS review and 1 game for exceeding 10 penalty point
- Additional comments: For the slashing charge, the on-ice call has been upgraded due to the retaliatory nature of the act. Player had two hands on the stick, and the action saw a downward swing and vulnerable point of contact. The offence caused reckless endangerment and injury.
- Ben Ealey-Newman (Slough Jets) | 6 game suspension – 3 games for an illegal check to the head and 3 games for exceeding 20 penalty points
- Additional comments: Player stepped across the ice, extending the upper body upward, and used part of the upper body to make contact with the opponent’s head or neck, causing reckless endangerment.
- Lewis Hall (Billingham Buccaneers) | 3 game suspension – Fighting
- Additional comments: Third man in. Player engaged with an unwilling and vulnerable opponent, after the end of period buzzer. Multiple punches were thrown and player resisted the intervention of officials.
- Amber Armstrong (Fire Bees) | 1 game suspension – Checking from behind
- Katerina Lossnitzer (Slough Sirens) | 1 game suspension – Fighting
