England Ice Hockey are delighted to announce the appointment of Alex Flynn as the new Independent Non-Executive Director for Finance.
Alex brings experience in accounting, financial planning and analysis from both the public and private sectors in the UK. Currently working at World Rugby, Alex is involved in the planning and modelling of the international federation’s major events and associated central departments.
Outside of work, he is a keen (field!) hockey player, official and team captain, as well as an all-round sports fanatic.
On his new role, Alex said: “I’m really excited to have joined England Ice Hockey at a transitional point for the organisation.
“There are some big challenges ahead, but also many great opportunities for us to grow and improve what we do. I look forward to supporting the Board in achieving this over the coming years.”
England Ice Hockey vice-chair Duncan Hough said: “We are delighted to welcome Alex to the England Ice Hockey board. His financial expertise, alongside his experience of working in a global sporting body, will be a valuable asset in securing strong financial governance within the organisation.”
