Following last weekend’s action, the England Ice Hockey Department of Player Safety (DOPS) have issued the following sanctions:

  • Ross Miller (Oxford City Stars) | 1 game suspension – Fighting
    • Additional comments: Fighting an unwilling opponent, instigator and aggressor.
  • Ross Miller (Oxford City Stars) | Mandatory 1 game suspension – Fighting
    • Additional comments: Fighting in the last five minutes of the game.
  • Ross Miller (Oxford City Stars) | 2 game suspension – Hitting threshold of 10 penalty points

Total: 4 game suspension for Ross Miller.

  • Myles Keogh (Sheffield Scimitars) | 1 game suspension – Fighting unwilling combatant
  • James Moss (Billingham Stars) | 3 game suspension – Fighting
    • Additional comments: Fighting occurred at the end of the game during handshakes.
  • James Moss (Billingham Stars | Mandatory 1 game suspension – Fighting
    • Additional comments: Fighting in the last five minutes of the game.

Total: 4 game suspension for James Moss.

  • Darren Stattersfield (Billingham Stars) | 3 game suspension – Fighting
    • Additional comments: Fighting occurred at the end of the game during handshakes.
  • Darren Stattersfield (Billingham Stars) | Mandatory 1 game suspension – Fighting

    • Additional comments: Fighting in the last five minutes of the game.
  • Griff Eden-Parish (Oxford Rising Stars) | Mandatory 1 game suspension – Fighting
    • Additional comments: Fighting in the last five minutes of the game.
  • Theo Gorman (Kingston Sharks) | 3 game suspension – Checking from behind
    • Additional comments: The player commits a forceful check from behind close to the boards, recklessly endangering his opponent.
  • Cain Taylor (Kingston Sharks) | 3 game suspension – Slashing
    • Additional comments: A violent slash to the upper body of an opponent, recklessly endangering him.
  • Cain Taylor (Kingston Sharks) | 1 game suspension – Abuse of officials
    • Additional comments: Upgraded to a 5+Game based on referee report. The player used foul language and mocking gestures towards the referee.
  • Cain Taylor (Kingston Sharks) | 2 game suspension – Hitting threshold of 10 penalty points

Total: 6 game suspension for Cain Taylor.

  • Samuel Hurst (Kingston Sharks) | 2 game suspension – Unsportsmanlike conduct
    • Additional comments: The player was heard using a sexual slur towards the opposing bench, without malicious intent.
  • Tajah Allen (Lee Valley Lions) | 2 game suspension – Illegal check to the head
    • Additional comments: The initial point of contact was the head, and the opposition player’s helmet came off.
  • Cameron Akers (Sutton Sting) | 1 game suspension – Kicking
    • Additional comments: The player made multiple distinct kicking motions at an opponent.
  • Owen Yarrow (Whitley Warriors) | 4 game suspension (two suspended pending no further instances of this nature before the end of the 2024/25 season) – Foul and abusive language
