DOPS general manager steps down

The EIHA can confirm that Mike Maidens is stepping down from his role as general manager of the Department of Player Safety (DOPS) due to increasing time commitments in his personal and professional life.Mike has been a valuable member of our organisation since joining, dedicating his own time to the DOPS team. He has worked diligently to support the department, and his efforts have been greatly appreciated.Barrie Archer, chair of the EIHA, expressed his gratitude, saying: “Mike has made a meaningful contribution during their time with us, and has shown the kind of dedication and commitment that makes our organisation thrive. We understand and respect his decision to prioritise his other commitments.“As we bid farewell to Mike, we wish to convey our sincere appreciation for his dedicated service. We understand the importance of balancing one’s commitments, and we wish them the best in their future endeavours.”We are currently exploring options for a suitable replacement for Mike’s position.
