Everyone at the upcoming Quebec Peewee tournament in February will be able to see the England girls’ names clearly, after the jerseys to be worn at the event were unveiled.
Player name bars, normally worn across the shoulders, have been placed at the bottom of the shirt, to ensure they are not obscured by players with long hair hanging down their back.
This mirrors an initiative taken by the new PWHL in North America during their inaugural season.
Thanks to our fantastic sponsors Double Eleven Limited, their logo will be across the shoulders and the girls’ names will be clearly on display across the bottom of the jersey.
The black-and-white coloured jerseys were shown to the players on Monday at their camp in Sheffield. The colour scheme of the jerseys echoes that of the PeeWee Tournoi 65th anniversary logo.
England boys will wear the same jerseys in Quebec with the traditional name bars, thanks to the support of Reward Funding.
Both teams also received their official entry acceptance from the Quebec organisers on Monday.
The teams travel from Heathrow on February 12, returning on February 25.
