A clash between the top two in the Planet Ice NIHL National Division steals the headlines during Gameweek 11.
Leeds Knights and MK Lightning both qualified for the semi-finals of the National Cup last week, in first and second respectively.
They will be joined by Sheffield Steeldogs and Romford Raiders – Leeds choosing to play Sheffield in their two-legged semi-final, meaning Milton Keynes and Romford will contest the other last-four bout.
Before then, however, league action remains a focus.
And this weekend, the top two go head-to-head in Milton Keynes for the first time this season, after sharing the wins in their two previous clashes in Leeds.
Lightning were unable to capitalise on Leeds dropping points last week, but a win on Saturday would see them climb to the top of the division ahead of their game on Sunday away at current bottom club Berkshire Bees.
Meanwhile, the Knights return home to face Peterborough Phantoms in their second game of the weekend.
Berkshire will have a chance to move off the foot of the table on Saturday, however, when they take on Bristol Pitbulls, the side directly above them, in the Pitbulls’ only game of the weekend.
Only one point separates third from seventh in the division, with sides amongst the tight mid-table going head-to-head during the latest gameweek.
The Steeldogs will be looking to carry on the momentum gained by qualifying for the National Cup semi-finals in their two games this weekend.
They host Swindon Wildcats on Saturday, before travelling to Telford to take on a Tigers side reinvigorated following successive four-point weekends.
Swindon, who moved above Hull Seahawks last weekend into sixth after picking up five points from a possible six during their Gameweek 10 triple-header, travel to East Yorkshire on Sunday to take on the Seahawks, in their only game this weekend.
Elsewhere, Romford are in action twice this weekend. First, they head to Peterborough to take on the Phantoms on Saturday, before returning home to lock horns with Solway Sharks on Sunday.
The Sharks, who will be aiming to pick up four points for a second straight week, take on Telford on Saturday.
