NIHL preview | January 24-26

The gap between the top three sides in the Planet Ice NIHL National Division couldn’t be closer as we round off January with Gameweek 20.

New league leaders Leeds Knights will enjoy a double-header against Peterborough Phantoms, who themselves are embroiled in a tight mini-league between fourth and sixth.

MK Lightning, the former leaders, are also in action twice this gameweek. They begin the weekend at home to Romford Raiders, before travelling to Bristol Pitbulls on Sunday.

Swindon Wildcats have won 15 of their previous 18 matches and now find themselves battling Leeds and Milton Keynes for top spot.

They take on two Yorkshire-based sides this weekend. First, they host Hull Seahawks on Saturday before a trip to Sheffield Steeldogs on Sunday.

Sheffield have to navigate the high-flying Wildcats a day after travelling south for a meeting with Telford Tigers on Saturday evening.

Telford themselves are in action on Sunday away at Romford Raiders.

And bottom club Berkshire Bees open the weekend’s action on Friday night at home to now second-bottom Bristol Pitbulls, before travelling to Solway Sharks on Sunday.
