WNIHL fixtures confirmed for 2025/26 season

England Ice Hockey and the WNIHL are pleased to release the full fixture lists for all WNIHL divisions, senior and junior, for the 2025/26 season, which begins this autumn.

The puck drops this weekend on the new season, although the majority of the seven senior and two junior leagues don’t begin until September. Games will run through to May 2026.

Final touches are being made to the WNIHL finals weekend, and those details will be released as soon as confirmed, while information on the 2025/26 Frank Wright Conference will also follow soon.

Full fixture lists are attached at the end of this article. Fixtures are subject to change as the season progresses, so always check with the home club before travelling to a game.

We’ve picked up some early and interesting fixtures from each of the divisions.

In the WNIHL Elite, newly-promoted Bristol Huskies get to play on Matchday 1 away to Streatham Storm on September 7.

Playoff champions Queen Bees start on September 13, also against Streatham, while defending league champions Solihull Vixens finally drop the puck on September 27 – again the Storm are the opposition.

The WNIHL 1 North begins on September 14 as Kingston Diamonds begin their battle to regain Elite League status at home to Caledonia Steel Queens.

The first all-Scottish WNIHL game is at Caledonia against Solway Sharks on December 14.

In the southern half of the WNIHL 1, promoted Streatham open the league schedule on September 7 against Firebees.

The other new team in the division, Cambridge Kodiaks, start away to Firebees on September 28 before facing off at home to Streatham a week later.

Into the WNIHL 2 North Valerie division, the returning Blackburn team – now playing under the Hawks name – open the league programme on September 6 at home to Whitley Bay Beacons.

There’s also a strong Yorkshire battle in this league, with Kingston, Sheffield and Leeds all fighting for the White Rose honour.

The WNIHL 2 North Elizabeth sees opening night feature the new Manchester Storm women’s team facing off against Caledonia’s new second team on September 14.

Leeds Thorns, the new second team to the Roses, face off a week later away to Kingston as the Yorkshire battles continue throughout the divisions.

The WNIHL 2 South Valerie gives opening night honours to Oxford Midnight Stars and Chelmsford Pythons on September 6.

Haringey Greyhounds who have moved up from the Elizabeth division over the summer, open at home to Slough on September 13.

In the WNIHL 2 South Elizabeth, newcomers Cambridge Kodiaks 2 drop the puck on September 13 at Invicta Dynamics, while MK Falcons’ new second team get their league debut 24 hours later at home to Coventry Phoenix.

Finally into the U16 leagues, in the north, Billingham Stars bring women’s hockey back to Teesside on September 6 against Caledonia Iron Maidens.

Leeds and Deeside actually get things going in the division a week earlier, August 30.

The returning Nottingham Vipers U16 have to wait to October 5 away to Whitley Bay Beacons to get underway.

The U16 South has the national playoff champions, Chelmsford Rattlesnakes, and they face off on September 21 at home to the Ice Bees.

MK Storm and Midlands Wrekin Raiders get the whole programme underway on September 6.
