A Yorkshire derby and battle at the bottom take the headlines in Gameweek 7 of the Planet Ice NIHL National Division.

Leeds Knights were replaced at the top of the standings by MK Lightning last weekend, and the Knights only play once this time around.

They are at home on Saturday, taking on Sheffield Steeldogs in a Yorkshire derby. The Steeldogs’ difficult-looking schedule doesn’t improve from there, as they take on new league leaders Milton Keynes the following day.

Lightning will look to retain their place at the division’s summit over the weekend, with a home matchup against mid-table Swindon Wildcats taking place prior to their meeting with Sheffield.

Towards the bottom of the division, Telford Tigers travel to Bristol Pitbulls on Saturday, in a match that sees the bottom two teams go head-to-head.

Both sides are in action on Sunday too. Bristol travel to Swindon’s Link Centre and face the Wildcats to close out the weekend’s action, while Telford host Romford Raiders.

The Raiders are, in fact, looking to bounce back from two straight losses last weekend. They travel north of the border to Solway Sharks before they take on Telford the following day.

Ninth-placed Solway are in action on Sunday too, facing a Peterborough Phantoms side looking to keep pace with the teams above after dropping points last weekend.

And finally, Hull Seahawks and Berkshire Bees do battle in this weekend’s only double-header. They meet at the Slough Ice Arena on Saturday, before facing off in Hull less than 24 hours later.
