Club admins can find more information here on all the processes in this section.
There are a number of minimum requirements for setting up your club to allow us to administer members and competitions.
GameDay is used to send important communications to clubs. You must set up club contacts in your club portal to ensure you receive this information.
It is important that each club has added at least a primary contact. This is where our regular updates get sent to.
You can add users to help administer clubs, teams and competitions. This can be done at club or team level as appropriate, and with GDPR in mind. Use the settings cog and go to user management at club or team level.
All administrators must have set up a Passport account.
Admins can view your club members in GameDay and their profile information. Simply click on the members’ list within your club portal and select the magnifying glass next to the member you wish to view.
You can view your pending members by selecting the ‘Pending members’ dropdown. Pending members are normally pending because they are missing documentation; EIH will be in touch with the club’s registration secretary to confirm any missing requirements.
You must create teams so that they can be entered into competitions. This is done via the teams tab on the menu on the left. Teams are seen publicly so be sure to name them correctly and include age groups in the titles if juniors or WNIHL U16 so that they can be assigned to the correct league.
Within each team you can add members from your club list.
Administrators have the ability to set default jersey numbers for teams as well as clubs, making populating your pre-game team list more quickly. You can do this via the club members or team members area of your club admin portal.
The GameDay Passport system will oversee all matters concerning transfer requests, multi-club registrations, and dispensations. Within the GameDay system, these aspects will be collectively categorised as ‘transfers’. Please note, transfers are for players only.
The process always begins with the borrowing club requesting a transfer (permit) from the player’s primary club (this will be the first club the player registered with). Our video and guide below shows how to administer transfers in GameDay.
Junior and WNIHL clubs may request players on a temporary transfer (less than 7 days) to support their team for a fixture. This is called an emergency transfer.
Emergency Transfer Request Form
Once EIH has sourced players, they will contact you to confirm. The transfer should then be submitted in GameDay to add the player to your roster temporarily.
No. All requests must be submitted through the above request form first in the interests of fairness.
GameDay is used to manage fixtures, match days, including team sheets, live scoring, results and stats.
Admins can view your club’s fixtures in GameDay my clicking on the competitions tab and selecting match results. Use the filters to adjust for your team / dates / competition.
No. All fixture requests must submitted by the following form. All challenge game fixtures must be approved by EIH to be covered under our insurance.
Fixture changes can only be requested in certain circumstances and not due to insufficient number of players, coaches or managers. Please see league rules for guidance.
Alternatively, email info@englandicehockey.com detailing the reasons for the request.
Fixture change requests can only be accommodated as outlined in EIH Rules and Regulations. Requests for changes due to not having enough players or team officials will not be approved.
In the pre-match screen you need to add your team lists, including coaches, managers and off-ice officials.
Each team should add their own team lists. If the away team has not submitted their list, the home team can add this from the day of the fixture.
The in-game function allows you live score games. This function is still in development but you can currently add goals and assists, though you’ll need to re-enter them in the post match stats. This will be fixed in the next round of development work.
The adding of penalties and the updating of player stats in the post-screen will be available later this season, with a view to rolling this out fully in 2024-2025.
In post-match you can enter scores and, importantly, the final result of the match. This will populate the website and the league tables.
You can also enter player stats, although these are currently being revised to be fully ready for the 2024-2024 season. Note: netminder stats do not currently save so please don’t enter these as it will stop the other stats from saving.
If you are unable to view your match results, this likely means your club has set you up with restricted access. Please contact your club administrator to give you club or team full access as appropriate.
GameDay can be used to view concussion records. You must report concussion using the injury reporting form. Remember: If in doubt, sit them out!
Follow the guidance regarding concussion on our web page here.
