This weekend, six teams from the Planet Ice NIHL National Division will look to produce one last push as the race to reach the Final Four comes to a thrilling conclusion.

Heading into week three of the playoffs, only Telford Tigers and Sheffield Steeldogs are mathematically unable to reach the end-of-season finale.

In Group A, the top two meet as Leeds Knights and Peterborough Phantoms prepare for a mouth-watering double-header.

Continuing the defence of their playoff crown, the Phantoms are at home on Saturday night before making the trip to Leeds to round off the weekend.

During the regular league campaign, there was no splitting the two teams, who earned three wins apiece in regulation from their six meetings.

Hull Seahawks, meanwhile, know that back-to-back wins over bottom-of-the-group Telford Tigers would give them a real chance of booking their place in the Final Four.

Group B leaders Swindon Wildcats are in pole position to advance to Coventry, having won all four of their games so far.

This weekend they face Romford Raiders, who know that the only way of overtaking the Wildcats is by winning twice in regulation to take their points tally to nine. Should they win one of the games in regulation and the other in either overtime or on penalties, the two teams would finish on nine points and the Raiders would hold the superior head-to-head record.

For MK Lightning, four points against the Steeldogs could also see them finish on nine points. Should all three teams be tied, a mini-league would be created.
