Three new additions to England Ice Hockey board of directors

England Ice Hockey are delighted to welcome three new independent non-executive directors (INED) to join the board.

Following the recent announcement of Nancy Squires joining in January 2025, this now brings the extensive search and recruitment of high-calibre appointments to a close.

The incoming directors are Clare Lobb, Jamie Gordon and Tom Stenner-Evans, all of whom will begin their roles with immediate effect.

Clare Lobb has spent over 16 years working in high-performance sport, and also recently as the senior non-executive director with British Waterski and Wakeboard (BWSW), with a responsibility for equality and diversity.

Clare remarked: “I’m very excited to start this role with England Ice Hockey. I look forward to getting involved and hope to be able to use some of my experience working across several high performance sport organisations to play a part in the future direction and progression of the sport.”

Jamie Gordon is as experienced financial professional with a proven track record in investment management and governance, as well as a dedicated community-leader.

Jamie said: “I am pleased to join England Ice Hockey as an INED, bringing my passion and expertise to this dynamic and progressive sport.

“I look forward to working closely with the board and CEO, Henry Staelens, to promote ice hockey’s inclusive nature and expand its presence across England.”

Tom Stenner-Evans has been an HR, Employment and ED&I lawyer for the past 18 years, with experience within the sport sector, in addition to practicing corporate governance from other board-level roles.

Tom stated: “I am delighted to be joining the board of directors of England Ice Hockey.

“Having followed the sport as a fan for over 25 years, I am looking forward to contributing towards its continued growth and progression. I have seen the positive and welcoming communities that ice hockey has created, and I hope that my legal background, and particularly my experience of the ED&I landscape, will help broaden the accessibility of the sport.”
